Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Yoshihiro Nakaoka (hereinafter referred to as "we" or "us") handles user information in the macOS application "Hydi" (hereinafter referred to as "the App").

We respect the privacy of our users and are committed to protecting personal information. The App is designed with privacy as a top priority and does not transmit user data to external servers.

Important: All data generated and processed by the App (screen recordings, keystrokes, mouse clicks, annotations, etc.) is stored only on your Mac. No data is ever transmitted to servers operated by us or to any cloud services.

User Consent

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you are deemed to have consented to this Privacy Policy.

Additionally, to use the App's features, you must grant the following permissions through macOS system dialogs. Granting these permissions constitutes your explicit consent to the collection and use of the relevant data.

- Screen Recording permission: To record video of your screen (required)
- Accessibility (Input Monitoring) permission: To display keystroke and mouse click overlays on the recorded video (optional)

All data obtained through these permissions is processed and stored locally on your Mac and is never transmitted to external servers.

How to Withdraw Consent

You can revoke permissions and stop data collection at any time by following these steps:

1. Open macOS "System Settings"
2. Select "Privacy & Security"
3. Select "Screen Recording" or "Accessibility"
4. Uncheck or remove Hydi from the list

Revoking permissions will disable the corresponding features, but you can continue to use the App itself.

Information We Collect

1. Purchase Information

When you purchase a subscription in the App, the following information is processed through Apple StoreKit 2:

- Subscription plan (Standard/Pro)
- Subscription expiration date
- Purchase date and time
- Transaction ID

Important: This information is managed by Apple Inc., and we do not have direct access to it. For details about purchase history, please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy (https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/).

Storage location: Apple's servers (not our servers)
Retention period: Subject to Apple's policies
External transmission: None (processed by Apple within the StoreKit framework)

2. App Settings

The App stores the following user settings locally on your device:

- Theme settings (System/Light/Dark)
- Sound effects enabled/disabled
- Save destination folder settings

Storage location: Your Mac (macOS UserDefaults)
Retention period: Until you uninstall the App
External transmission: None

3. Recording Data

The following data is generated in connection with the App's main screen recording feature:

- Screen recording files (MP4 format)
Purpose: To record video of the screen area specified by the user and save it as a video file
Storage location: Downloads folder or user-specified folder
External transmission: None

- Keystroke information (timestamp, key name, modifier keys)
Purpose: To display keystroke overlays on the recorded video
Storage location: Within the video file on your Mac
External transmission: None

- Mouse click information (coordinates, button type)
Purpose: To display mouse click overlays on the recorded video
Storage location: Within the video file on your Mac
External transmission: None

- Annotation data (text, arrows, shapes)
Purpose: To display user-added annotations on the recorded video
Storage location: Within the video file on your Mac
External transmission: None

Important: All of this data is stored locally on your Mac and is never transmitted to our servers or to third parties. The management and deletion of recording data is entirely under your control.

4. Diagnostic Information

If the App crashes, a diagnostic report may be sent to Apple through macOS's standard functionality. This only occurs if you have enabled "Share with Apple" in macOS System Settings and is not something the App independently collects.

Information We Do Not Collect

The App does not collect the following information:

- Personally identifiable information (name, email address, physical address, etc.)
- Location information
- Contact information
- Usage statistics or analytics data
- Advertising identifiers

The App does not incorporate any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or tracking tools.

Information Sharing with Third Parties

We do not share user information with third parties, except in the following cases:

Apple Inc.

Information is exchanged with Apple Inc. through Apple StoreKit for subscription purchase processing. This is limited to the scope necessary for processing in-app purchases.

Legal Requests

We may disclose information to the minimum extent required when there is a request based on applicable laws.

Data Storage and Deletion

Storage Location

All data is stored in local storage on your Mac:

- App settings: macOS UserDefaults
- Recording files: Downloads folder or user-specified folder

Data Retention Period

- App settings: Retained until you uninstall the App
- Recording files: Retained until you manually delete them
- Purchase information: Managed according to Apple's policies

Data Deletion

- App settings: Related settings data is deleted when you uninstall the App
- Recording files: Open the recording file save folder in Finder, select the target files, and delete them by choosing "Move to Trash" (Command + Delete). Empty the Trash to permanently delete them
- Purchase information: Managed on Apple's servers; please contact Apple Support (https://support.apple.com/) for inquiries

Access Permissions

The App uses the following macOS permissions to provide its features:

- Screen Recording: For recording your screen (required). Recorded video is stored only on your Mac and is never transmitted to external servers.
- Accessibility (Input Monitoring): For displaying keystroke and mouse click overlays on the recorded video (optional). Input data obtained is stored only on your Mac and is never transmitted to external servers.

These permissions can be revoked at any time from macOS "System Settings" > "Privacy & Security."

Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated as needed. If there are significant changes, we will notify you through the App or on our website. Please check the "Last Updated" date of this policy periodically.

Your Rights

You have the following rights:

- Right of Access: Access to your own data (all data is stored locally, so you can access it directly)
- Right of Deletion: You can delete all data by uninstalling the App and deleting recording files
- Right to Withdraw Consent: You can revoke permissions at any time from macOS "System Settings" > "Privacy & Security"
- Data Portability: Recording files are saved in the standard MP4 format and can be used with other applications
